So after adding some special DHCP options in your DHCP server, you can start with configuring the FTP server.
In our environment we use a regular IIS FTP server running on Windows Server 2003. If not using virtual directories, you should create the next folder structure in c:Inetpubftproot :

The VL10_* files hold the firmware, and the wnos.ini keeps the device config.
The Bitmap-folder holds wallpapers and login banners.
The Cacerts-folder keeps the SSL root certificates needed to use Citrix Secure Gateway or x802.1 authentication.
The ini-folder holds .ini-files with userprofiles and/or device profiles.
